Imagine yourself among orange trees, beautiful views, you hear the murmur of the wind or feel the caress of the breeze, you smell of orange blossom and you are surprised with the aromas of different citrus fruits, you taste freshly picked fruit from the tree, and you taste products made from orange, ..., no, we are not in a relaxation session, we are in a fantastic Monumental Garden, with an imposing eclectic modernist house from the end of the 19th century, taking a walk with the pioneering family who started the cultivation of orange, the most iconic of the Valencian Community, in the town of Carcaixent, which was the cradle of the more than 145,000 hectares currently planted on our land, 60% of the entire extension of citrus crops in Spain.
Carcaixent is a prosperous town thanks to the cultivation of the orange and before that of the silkworm, and this is reflected in its monumental and modernist art we will contemplate on a guided tour around the population.
The experience also includes food, either in a restaurant or in the Monumental Garden itself, where we will taste the other icon of Valencia, the paella, washed down with excellent Valencian wines. And we will not fail to cheer the soul knowing and tasting the third gastronomic reference of this day, Agua de Valencia, a cocktail made from orange, which has curious stories to tell.
